Frontier House Project: A Modern Homesteading Experiment
The Frontier House Project
The Frontier House Project was a reality television series that aired in 2002. It aimed to recreate the experience of 19th-century homesteading by selecting three modern families to live as homesteaders for five months. The families had to build their own homes, grow their own food, and face the challenges of living without modern amenities.
Participating Families
The three families that participated in the Frontier House Project were:
- The Smith family
- The Johnson family
- The Thompson family
These families were chosen to represent a cross-section of modern American families and showcased how they adapted to life on the frontier.
