Solomon's Wisdom and Its Benefits for the Israelites
The Wisdom of Solomon
First and foremost, Solomon's wisdom allowed the Israelites to make peace with an enemy. In the passage from 1 Kings 5, it is mentioned that there was peace between Hiram and Solomon, thanks to the wisdom that the Lord had granted to Solomon. This enabled them to work together and make a league for a shared purpose, which ultimately benefited both parties.
Supplies for Building the Temple
Another way in which Solomon's wisdom benefited the Israelites was by providing them with the necessary supplies to build their temple.Through the agreement with Hiram, Solomon received cedar wood and cypress wood to use in the construction of the temple. Additionally, Solomon also provided Hiram with twenty thousand measures of wheat and twenty measures of beaten oil year by year, ensuring that both parties had the resources they needed for their respective projects.
Honoring the Lord
Lastly, Solomon's wisdom helped the Israelites build a place to honor the Lord. The temple that was constructed with the supplies obtained through Solomon's wisdom served as a place of worship and reverence for the Israelites. It was a symbol of their faith and devotion to the Lord, allowing them to carry out their religious practices and ceremonies in a proper and grand setting.
